CRE Train Central Corridor Surpasses 2,000 Trips This Year

 

  As of July 15, the CRE train passing through the Inner Mongolia Erenhot railway port on the Central Corridor has exceeded 2,000 trips this year, 13 days ahead of last year. Compared to the same period last year, the number of trips increased by 138; freight volume reached 226,500 TEUs and 2.563 million tons, up 6.7% and 10.5% respectively.

  Erenhot railway port is the only railway port for the CRE train on the Central Corridor. Since the first train launched in 2013, the port has handled a cumulative total of 19,000 trains, connecting over 70 hub stations in more than 10 countries, including Germany and Poland. The export cargo categories have become increasingly diverse, shifting from mainly mechanical parts and clothing & footwear to predominantly new energy vehicles, electronic products and household appliances.
