Since the beginning of this year, CR-Urumqi has seized opportunities to increase freight volumes and vigorously expanded the transport of high-value-added cargo. So far, cumulative transport has reached 14.951 million tons, an increase of 1.098 million tons year-on-year.
Focusing on growing volumes of distributed cargo, CR-Urumqi targets key cargo distribution hubs such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta, running e-commerce trains and scheduled trains for commodity cars. They actively promote "one-bill coverage system" and "single container" rail-air and rail-sea intermodal transport models with enterprises, achieving "facility connectivity, information interoperability and service smoothness," thus opening up a full logistics corridor from Xinjiang to coastal regions and effectively reducing overall logistics costs for enterprises.
